Power and stability
The 10+2+1 Duet Rail Power system with 55A DrMOS delivers a stable power supply to the processor via an 8-pin connector. This configuration efficiently manages power for multi-core processors, even under heavy load. An extended heatsink handles heat dissipation from the power delivery system, and its larger surface area improves thermal exchange. The cooling system also includes 7W/mK thermal pads for the MOSFETs and additional pads for the chokes, helping to maintain low operating temperatures. For fast SSD stability, the board uses a passive M.2 Shield Frozr heatsink.
High-speed interface
To accommodate modern components, the board is ready for high-speed data transfers. The main graphics card slot uses the PCIe 4.0 x16 standard, providing double the bandwidth of the previous generation. This slot is also reinforced with Steel Armor technology to protect against mechanical damage from heavy cards. For ultra-fast SSDs, there is one M.2 slot with PCIe 4.0 x4 support, complemented by a second M.2 slot with a PCIe 3.0 x4 interface. For connecting traditional hard drives or SATA SSDs, the board offers six SATA III ports with speeds of 6Gb/s.
Connectivity and networking
On the rear panel, you will find a set of USB ports for connecting peripherals. These include high-speed USB 3.2 Gen 2 interfaces in both Type-A and Type-C. For further expansion, the board offers internal connectors, including an internal header for a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port on the front panel of the case. For network connectivity, there is a 1G LAN port with a Realtek 8111H chip and a wireless module. The board supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. Video output from a processor's integrated graphics core is available via HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.2 ports, both supporting 4K resolution at 60Hz.
Assembly and audio
Component installation is simplified by features from the EZ DIY package, such as the EZ M.2 clip for screwless drive installation. For diagnosing potential problems during startup, a set of EZ DEBUG LEDs is provided. The board also includes a Flash BIOS button for updating the firmware without a CPU, memory, or graphics card installed. Audio output is handled by the Realtek ALC897 chip with Audio Boost technology. Signal quality is enhanced by a design with separated audio circuits on the PCB (Isolated Analogy Structure), which limits electromagnetic interference from other components.
