Power and stability for demanding processors
The board uses an advanced power solution with 12+2+1 power stages, each rated to handle 80A. Each stage combines high-side and low-side MOSFETs and drivers into a single DrMOS package, ensuring efficient power delivery and stable operation for all compatible AMD processors. Enlarged VRM heatsinks with a large surface area cover the power modules and chokes to improve heat dissipation. The eight-pin ProCool connectors are built to tight specifications to ensure full contact with PSU power cables, which reduces impedance and prevents overheating. TUF chokes deliver rock-solid power to the CPU, while TUF black metallic capacitors offer 52% wider temperature tolerance compared to standard capacitors. The integrated Digi+ VRM module is optimised to deliver smooth and clean voltage.
Modern memory and storage
The motherboard supports DDR5 memory in a dual-channel configuration with four slots, letting you use high-speed memory modules. For kits with AMD EXPO support, extensive overclocking is available, while for basic non-EXPO modules, the ASUS Enhanced Memory Profile (AEMP) offers the ability to exceed standard speeds. Advanced memory settings in the UEFI let experienced users fine-tune performance. The board features one PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot with a transfer speed of up to 128Gb/s, which, along with two other M.2 slots (PCIe 4.0), offers high-speed storage. All M.2 slots are equipped with dedicated heatsinks to maintain optimal operating temperatures and support NVMe RAID configurations. The Q-Latch mechanism enables easy installation or replacement of an M.2 SSD without the need for tools.
