The PCIe 3.0 x16 SafeSlot Core+ slot features a one-piece stainless steel brace that protects the slot from damage and is securely attached with hooks and reinforced solder points for a secure foundation for heavy graphics cards. The M.2 slot supports drives up to size 2280 and enables data transfer speeds of up to 32Gb/s over the PCIe 3.0 x4 interface for faster application and OS loading. The board includes four SATA 6Gb/s ports for connecting additional storage devices and front USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A connectors for compatible PC cases.
Power and cooling
The board uses Stack Cool 3+ technology with almost 60-gram copper layers that draw heat away from critical components, keeping them at their optimal operating temperature. Certified military-grade TUF chokes deliver stable power to the processor, and proprietary capacitors provide up to 20% more temperature tolerance. A large, solid heatsink with an extensive surface area covers the VRM and choke area to improve heat dissipation. Addressable Gen 2 RGB headers detect the number of LEDs on devices and automatically tailor the lighting effects to the specific device, with backwards compatibility for any device featuring Aura RGB lighting. Armoury Crate software provides centralised control of all supported gaming products, with options to set RGB lighting and synchronise it via Aura Sync software in a single intuitive interface.
