The power-saving function includes several settings that make it easy to optimise power consumption and maximise energy savings. You can enable a CPU power limit, dim the Aura lighting, and set the fan profile to power-saving mode. You can also switch the power-saving plan that is integrated into Microsoft Windows.
Flexible cooling and precise power
ASUS Fan Xpert 2+ software provides comprehensive control over your fans. There is also an Extreme Quiet mode, which reduces chassis fan speeds below the default minimum to keep your system whisper-quiet during light tasks. Fans can also be controlled via the UEFI BIOS. The Digi+ voltage regulator module (VRM) provides real-time control over voltage droop, automatically switching frequency and power-efficiency settings. It also lets you fine-tune your CPU for ultimate stability and performance.

The renowned ASUS UEFI BIOS offers an intuitive EZ mode with an overview of key settings, a wizard, drag-and-drop functionality, and quick application of basic options, while Advanced mode provides full control, a search function, intelligent fine-tuning, and an ASUS user profile for transferring and sharing configurations. It also includes graphical fan control by dragging a curve with the mouse and an Aura On/Off mode for easy control of RGB lighting or onboard LEDs.

The PRIME B760-PLUS D4 motherboard features onboard heatsinks and hybrid fan headers to ensure stability and effective cooling even under heavy loads. The M.2 heatsink prevents throttling on M.2 storage during intensive transfers, while removable captive screws ensure a secure fit. VRM heatsinks and thermal pads improve heat dissipation from the MOSFETs and chokes. Complete cooling control can be configured via Fan Xpert 2+ software or the UEFI BIOS. Each header supports three thermal sensors and optimises cooling for graphics cards and the CPU. The board also includes a dedicated header for AIO water cooling and integrated protection against overheating and overload. The fan header supports automatic detection of PWM or DC fans.

OptiMem technology also improves frequency headroom and reduces crosstalk by carefully mapping memory signals across the board layers.

The PRIME B760-PLUS D4 motherboard offers three M.2 slots that support transfer speeds of up to 64Gb/s via PCIe 4.0, ensuring fast system boot-up and application loading. The PCIe 5.0 slot provides double the data transfer speed of PCIe 4.0, making it ideal for new, data-heavy tasks. The USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C® supports transfer speeds of up to 20Gb/s, and the front USB Type-C® offers a transfer speed of up to 5Gb/s. The board also supports Thunderbolt™ 4 (USB4®), enabling transfers of up to 40Gb/s on a single cable and connection for up to two 4K monitors. Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet ensures high throughput and low CPU load for smooth data transfers, while ASUS LANGuard provides hardware-level protection against electromagnetic interference for a more reliable connection.
