Power and cooling for maximum performance
The Mirrored Power Arrangement with a total of 16 core phases uses 90A Smart Power Stage components, which along with dual 8-pin CPU connectors, provide enough power for even the most demanding processors. The extended VRM heatsink covers the top MOSFETs and uses high-quality 7W/mK thermal pads, including additional pads on the chokes. The board is optimised for water cooling with a dedicated water pump pin header that supports up to 3A, giving you full control over the pump speed. Strategically placed fan connectors, including a separate pump header, make it easy to integrate with MSI cooling systems.
Next-generation memory support and storage
Four DDR5 slots with SMT technology minimise electromagnetic interference and support overclocking up to 7200MHz thanks to Memory Boost technology and Intel XMP 3.0 profiles. The maximum system memory capacity is 256GB with dual-controller dual-channel mode support. For data storage, the board offers four M.2 slots with Lightning Gen 4 x4 support. The M.2 slot is connected directly to the processor and the others to the chipset, all with the ability to use the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. Seven SATA III ports with a speed of 6Gb/s complete the storage options, supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 for both SATA and NVMe devices.
Expansion slots and graphics support
Two PCIe x16 slots with an x16/x4 configuration include a primary slot with full PCIe 5.0 support connected to the processor, which uses SMT technology for a clean signal and features a reinforced Steel Armor design with additional solder points to securely hold heavy graphics cards. The secondary PCIe x16 slot supports PCIe 4.0 x4 from the chipset. A single PCIe x1 slot with PCIe 3.0 expands the options for connecting peripherals. The processor's integrated graphics can be used via the HDMI 2.1 port.
