Power and memory support
The Duet Rail Power System with a 12+2+1 phase configuration and two 8-pin connectors supplies the processor with a stable stream of power even under heavy load. This architecture, combined with Core Boost technology, efficiently distributes voltage. The board provides support for high-frequency DDR5 memory modules and EXPO/A-XMP profiles for easy performance tuning. The four memory slots accommodate up to 256GB of DDR5 memory with an overclocked frequency of up to 8200MHz (OC).
Board cooling
The extended heatsink design dissipates heat from the power delivery system, using 7W/mK thermal pads for efficient heat transfer. The M.2 Shield Frozr protects the M.2 storage from performance drops due to overheating. An enlarged passive chipset heatsink complements the cooling system. For comprehensive airflow control, the board offers a total of six fan headers, including one combo header for a water pump and one for a CPU cooler. The Frozr AI Cooling function helps with optimisation.
Fast storage and connectivity
The board offers two slots for fast NVMe drives, one of which supports the PCIe 5.0 x4 standard. For additional storage, it provides four SATA III ports with RAID support. The rear panel includes both USB-A and USB-C ports with speeds of up to 10Gb/s. You can connect to the network using the 2.5Gb/s LAN port or wirelessly via Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth 5.3.
Assembly and management
Component installation is simplified by EZ DIY features, such as the EZ PCIe Clip II for easy removal of the graphics card and the EZ M.2 Clip II for screwless drive installation. The pre-installed I/O shield makes fitting the board into the case easier. The MSI Center software and Click BIOS X interface are used for system management and optimisation with tools like AI Engine and Frozr AI Cooling.
