The SAPPHIRE NITRO+ B850A motherboard with Wi-Fi 7 provides the foundation for building powerful PC systems on the AMD AM5 platform. This AM5 ATX board supports AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series processors, providing them with stable power and advanced technologies. It supports DDR5 RAM and allows overclocking up to 8000MHz. It also offers a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for your graphics card. For storage, it provides one M.2 slot with a PCIe 5.0 interface. This motherboard for Ryzen 7000 and newer combines PCIe 5.0 and Wi-Fi 7 for high-speed data transfers. Power and cooling
A 12+2+1 phase system provides a stable power supply for multi-core processors, with each phase delivering up to 55A of current. The power delivery is supplemented by two 8-pin EPS connectors. A system of passive aluminium heatsinks dissipates heat from key components such as the VRM, M.2 slots and chipset, maintaining low operating temperatures even under heavy load.
Support for fast memory and storage
Four DDR5 memory slots support Dual-Channel mode and a total capacity of up to 256GB. The board supports overclocking memory modules up to 8000MHz. For the graphics card, it offers a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, and for ultra-fast NVMe SSDs, there is one PCIe 5.0 generation M.2 slot and two PCIe 4.0 generation slots. For additional drives, it offers four SATA III ports that support RAID.
Connectivity with Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5G LAN
The Realtek RTL8125BG 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port provides network connectivity. Wireless communication is handled by a module that supports the Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 standards. The rear panel includes a set of USB ports, including USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, and DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 1.4 video outputs for processors with integrated graphics.
Features and diagnostics
System management and performance tuning are handled by the SAPPHIRE CORE BIOS with its clear interface. For quick diagnosis of start-up problems, there is a set of four Debug LEDs that indicate the status of the CPU, DRAM, graphics card and boot device. This feature simplifies the identification of hardware issues. The One-click Flash BIOS button on the rear panel handles BIOS updates without a processor or memory installed.
