ASROCK B860M-X

ASROCK B860M-X
The ASROCK B860M-X motherboard is built on the Intel B860 chipset for the Intel 1851 socket and features a compact mATX (Micro ATX) form factor, combining performance with space efficiency. The board has a six-layer PCB, which ensures stable signal routing and efficient power plane distribution. Processor power is supplied by a 7+1+1+1+1 power phase configuration, providing ample headroom for the stable operation of even the more demanding Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors. The board supports two DDR5 RAM modules in dual-channel mode at speeds of up to 9066MHz and is compatible with both Intel XMP and AMD EXPO profiles for easy overclocking without manual timing adjustments.
Key features of the ASROCK B860M-X motherboard
- Support for Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors with LGA1851 socket and 7+1+1+1+1 phase power
- 6-layer PCB design ensures stable signals and efficient cooling when overclocking DDR5 memory
- DDR5 memory support up to 9066+ MHz in dual-channel mode with Intel XMP and AMD EXPO technologies
- Blazing M.2 slot with PCIe 5.0 x4 interface and 128Gb/s transfer speed offers double the performance of PCIe 4.0
- Dragon 2.5Gb/s LAN network interface offers 2.5× higher throughput than Gigabit Ethernet
- USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port with 20Gb/s speed and a reversible connector on the rear panel
Storage and cooling
For graphics cards and expansion devices, the board offers one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, one PCIe 4.0 x4 slot, and one PCIe 4.0 x1 slot, providing sufficient flexibility for builds with dedicated graphics and other cards. For storage, there are two M.2 slots. The first, the Blazing M.2 slot, supports the PCIe Gen5 x4 standard with transfer speeds of up to 128Gb/s, which is double that of the previous generation, preparing your system for the fast SSDs of the future. The second slot, the Hyper M.2, works with PCIe Gen4 x4 and still offers high performance for standard high-end storage. For traditional drives or older SSDs, there are four SATA III ports. The board is fitted with aluminium heatsinks that efficiently dissipate heat from critical components and ensure system stability even under prolonged load.
Connectivity and graphics outputs
Network connectivity is provided by a Realtek Dragon 2.5Gb LAN port, which offers up to 2.5× higher throughput compared to standard Gigabit Ethernet. The rear I/O panel features one USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port with a transfer speed of up to 20Gb/s; its reversible connector can be plugged in regardless of orientation. In addition, there are three USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) ports and two USB 2.0 ports available. Internal connectors can be used to add another USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports to the front panel of the case. In total, the board supports up to six USB 2.0 ports and five USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports. For outputs from the processor's integrated graphics, a DisplayPort 1.4 and an HDMI 2.1 are available.
