AlzaCafé Kenya Kamvara Embu is characterized by high quality, careful preparation, and excellent taste.
AlzaCafé Kamvara Embu comes from the Kamvara Estate farm, which, with its location at an altitude of 1,650 to 1,750 meters above sea level, provides excellent conditions for growing high-quality coffee. The coffee is harvested by hand, which allows for better control of the ripeness and quality of individual coffee cherries. The cherries are then de-pulped on a disc pulper. The coffee is dry fermented for 16 to 24 hours. After washing, it is soaked in clean water for another 24 hours. The wet parchment is dried on raised beds for 2 to 3 weeks.
How to properly prepare refreshing Cold Brew
To prepare cold brew, we recommend using 60–80g of coarsely ground AlzaCafé Kenya Kamvara Embu coffee per 1 liter of filtered water and then leaving it to macerate for at least 20 hours in the refrigerator. After this time, filter the coffee using a French press or a fine sieve, for example. Thanks to the cold preparation, the coffee has a sweeter taste and lower acidity than when prepared with hot water.
