WD Red Pro hard drives have rotational vibration (RV) sensors that estimate and proactively counteract interference caused by increased vibration. By suppressing the increased vibration in the drive chassis, shocks are minimised, performance is maintained and the drives are protected.

WD Red Pro hard drives are designed to handle high-intensity workloads in multi-user NAS environments that operate 24/7, helping to increase system resilience. WD Red Pro hard drives include a multi-axis shock sensor to detect subtle shocks and automatically compensate for them using dynamic fly height technology, further protecting the drives in the NAS enclosure. Western Digital works with a wide range of NAS system vendors to conduct extensive testing to ensure compatibility with most NAS enclosures.
