Asus introduces its new, slimmest, lightest and extraordinarily powerful notebook. The third generation of the Zenbook is completely redesigned for the new era of mobile technology. Asus relies on a precision, circular grinding aluminum construction, which is typical of the Zen line. Everyone will be impressed with the compact size of the ZenBook with only 11.9mm in height and weight of just 910 grams. The thin profile is due primarily to the newly developed hinges that measure only 3 mm. Perfect look, good performance and first-class processing, this is the new ZenBook 3.
A very challenging task was chosen by the technicians themselves, with the aim of creating an extra thin, high-performance notebook. The result is an unprecedented combination of a thin chassis and powerful components. Inside this model is the Intel Core i5 mobile processor and 8GB of a 1,600 MHz operating memory. There is also a very fast SSD with a large capacity of 512GB.
The 12.5-inch screen displays Full HD (1920 × 1080 px) sublime, wide viewing angles and colourful high-contrast colours, but at the same time the Zenbook 3 boasts an exceptionally thin frame with a width of only 7.6 mm. The display occupies 82% of the body of the notebook and is also fitted with Corning's Gorilla Glass 4, for maximum protection.
The ZenBook has been given a modified keyboard that is extremely thin. The 0.8mm key stroke is 28% thinner than the previous generation. The keyboard has been suited to the smallest detail and the exclusive look of the ZenBook is backlit in gold. An integral part is a precision touchpad with a glass surface that supports gestures and recognises hand-written text.
In addition, the TouchPad is equipped with a fingerprint security sensor that features Windows Hello, allowing you to log into the system without entering a password.
The ZenBook 3 features the same plug-in as the Apple MacBook, and the USB-C in the Thunderbolt 3 specification. It provides very fast charging, extra fast data transfer, or up to 3 external monitors. That's why you're able to charge up to 60% of the high-capacity battery in 49 minutes. The fully charged batter then promises up to 9 hours of notebook operation time. As a bonus, we find on the other hand a classic 3.5 combined headphone or microphone connector.
Enjoy state-of-the-art wireless technology and mobility without borders using Bluetooth 4.1 or WiFi 802.11ac . This is more reliable and 3 times faster than previous generations - up to 867 Mbps. Intel WiDi technology is available for wireless imaging, so you can continuously play music, movies or photos comfortably on your smart TV (WiDi support is required).
