The ASROCK B650M PRO RS motherboard uses the AMD B650 chipset with an AM5 socket and supports Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 series processors. Thanks to its compact Micro ATX (mATX) form factor, it's perfect for medium-sized and smaller computer builds. Processor power and overclocking support
The power section uses an 8+2+1 phase design with integrated Dr.MOS components, which provide higher current per phase and handle heat better than traditional MOSFETs. The board supports four DDR5 modules in a dual-channel configuration, with overclocking potential up to 7200MHz via AMD EXPO or Intel XMP profiles. The six-layer PCB contributes to stability during overclocking. The Blazing OC Tuner technology enables automatic switching between manual OC mode and PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) based on the current CPU load. When the current threshold is exceeded, all-core overclocking is activated. Below the threshold, the automatic single-core boost kicks in for high performance.
Cooling and thermal management
The aluminium heatsinks on the board ensure efficient heat dissipation. ASRock's Fan-Tastic Tuning feature lets users automatically detect the minimum speed of each fan with a single click and then fine-tune the fan curve through a visual interface. All fan connectors automatically detect whether a fan is operating in DC or PWM mode, giving you the flexibility to precisely adjust your cooling for both performance and noise levels.
Expansion slots and storage
The board offers one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot and one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot for graphics cards or other expansion cards. It also features an M.2 Key E slot intended for Wi-Fi modules. For storage, it provides four SATA III ports and three M.2 slots with different specifications. The Blazing M.2 slot supports the PCIe Gen5 x4 standard with a transfer speed of up to 128GB/s, which is double the bandwidth of the previous generation. The other two M.2 slots operate on PCIe Gen4. A large aluminium heatsink on the M.2 slots efficiently dissipates heat and keeps fast SSDs in an optimal temperature range for stable performance.
Connectivity and audio solution
The rear I/O panel is equipped with a 2.5Gb/s LAN port, offering up to 2.5× higher transfer speeds than standard gigabit Ethernet. In addition to the built-in RGB backlighting, the board also offers classic RGB connectors and an addressable RGB header. With these, you can connect compatible LED accessories to the board, such as LED strips, fans, coolers, or case lighting. You can synchronise all these RGB devices via the Polychrome RGB Sync system to create your own unique lighting effects.
