The Fenix HM51R Ruby V3.0 is the 3rd generation of the limited edition based on the HM50R model. It offers a total of 9 modes and can last for up to 125 hours depending on the power setting. The all-metal HM51R Ruby V3.0 headlamp weighs 84g, including the strap and battery, can withstand a fall from 2 metres and is waterproof. It can be removed from its head mount and used as a pocket or work light with a magnetic end cap and steel clip. The Fenix HM51R Ruby V3.0 headlamp is suitable for sports activities, outdoor trips, work, and home use, and all its functions can be controlled with a single button.

Fenix headlamp offers 9 modes
The main LED produces a neutral white light with a colour temperature of 4,500K. The headlamp offers 5 neutral white light modes, which can be selected according to the desired power and runtime. The most powerful mode provides 860 lm, while the most economical mode allows for up to 125 hours of operation. A further 4 red light modes are suitable for discreet illumination, warning flashing or SOS signalling.
Power and USB-C charging
The Fenix HM51R Ruby V3.0 headlamp is powered by a Fenix ARB-L16-950P Li-Ion battery, type RCR123A, with a capacity of 950mAh. It charges directly in the torch via the side USB-C connector, and a full charge takes approximately 2 hours. The button glows red during charging and green when complete. The torch can be used while charging, but only the 3 and 50 lm white modes and the red light modes are available. In an emergency, a disposable CR123A battery can be inserted, which limits the maximum output to 150 lm and must not be charged in the torch.
Construction of the HM51R Ruby V3.0 headlamp
The body of the Fenix HM51R Ruby V3.0 headlamp is made of A6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminium alloy and is protected by a hard type III anodised finish, which ensures resistance to scratching. The IP68 rating ensures it is dustproof and resistant to submersion in water up to 2 metres deep for 4 hours. Digital regulation maintains a constant brightness as the battery discharges, and thermal protection automatically reduces the output when the temperature reaches 60°C. The output will gradually be restored once it cools down.
