the world's first manfacturer of two-storey garden houses

The history of Smoby dates back to 1924, when the company Moquin-Breuil was founded. Originally, the company specialised in the production of wood pipes and household appliances.

After the Second World War, the company stopped producing household articles from wood and started using plastic. In 1970, the company was renamed Smoby and started to focus on the production of children's toys.

The experience gained in the production of household goods was transferred to the production of toys. Smoby produced realistic replicas of kitchens, household appliances and garden houses. In 2008 Smoby merged with Dickie. Today, the Smoby Dickie Group is the largest manufacturer of outdoor toys.
