The high protein content helps promote the reduction of body fat while preserving muscle mass during weight loss. The low calorie content supports weight loss. Urinary tract protection helps reduce the risk of struvite and oxalate uroliths, which overweight cats are more predisposed to.
Do not feed veterinary diets to your pet without a vet's recommendation! You should also consult your vet at least once every 6 months to determine whether to continue with this food. If your pet's condition worsens in any way while on this diet, contact your vet immediately.

Weight loss: for each additional kg of body weight, add 15g of kibble per day.
Weight maintenance: for each additional kg of body weight, add 20g of kibble per day.
The recommended daily dose is based on the cat's current weight, average energy requirements and an expected weight loss of 1% per week. The daily food ration should be checked and adjusted every 4 weeks. The Feline DM St/Ox diet should be fed until the target body weight is reached. The diet can also be fed to cats with a tendency to gain weight, following the feeding guide for weight maintenance. Fresh water should always be available.
