There is only one way to the afterlife, and that is death.
If someone offers you another way, they are either a fool, a mad scientist, or not from this planet. In my unbelievable story, it seems all three alternatives have combined.
I was handling the electronic estate of a professor who worked on biotechnological neural nanosystems when an invasive piece of software jumped from his notebook to my mobile without asking for my consent.
I was given a magic card and thus became a participant in something that resembled a crazy larp game run by a crazy cult. I'm quite a playful guy, but this was absolute nonsense that I had no intention of taking part in. It was only later that I realised that once I had their card, I had no choice. The goal of the game – the afterlife. But those idiots had no idea who they'd given it to. I'd served two years in Afghanistan and was an external lecturer for the FBI at Quantico. If they wanted chaos, they were going to get it.
A standalone novel.
