The Tolki Interactive Talking English for Self-Learners book, complete with a new electronic pencil, introduces adults and older children to English words and phrases useful when travelling. The latest version of the electronic Albi Pencil 2.0 is full of innovations. In addition to the new look, it has a Bluetooth function that can be used to connect headphones or speakers wirelessly. English for self-learners is spoken by native speakers and includes an English translation. You will build and expand your vocabulary in a fun way, while listening to and reading the stories of a Czech-British family on the road to practice your pronunciation. You can test your knowledge in fun quizzes. The book has 9 chapters, each divided into 4 parts (story-listening, vocabulary, phrases, story-reading). In the individual chapters you will learn how to get along, for example, at the airport, in a restaurant, how to find your way around the city or what you might encounter in the countryside when camping or on the beach.

In addition to interactive fun, children will be able to see the beautiful illustrations by Petr Morkes. Masaryk University participated in the creation of the texts. Interesting information, stories and quizzes were narrated by Chelsea Steeb, Richard Jones, Klára Oltová and Martin Zahálka. The work was created in collaboration with Soundlab.
How does Albi Magic Reading work?
In order for children to enjoy a fun interaction with the books in the Magic Reading series, it is necessary to own a pencil, which will become their guide. By touching the relevant surface or picture, the electronic pencil tells children important information or makes a sound. The Albi pencil can talk books or make them sing, teach children new information and play an observation game or test their newly acquired knowledge in the form of a quiz. The pencil can be purchased in two variants, both of which are compatible with all products from the Magic Reading edition.
This version of Magic Reading contains a pencil, so there is no need to purchase one. Set does not include pencil holder.
What are symbols used for in books and games?
For everything to work properly, you must load each book, game or memory game using the power button. It is through the on button that the pencil finds the correct sound file. With a second touch on the on button, the pencil tells you the meaning of the icons in the book. An explanation of their functions can always be found at the back of the book or game.
