PLANETOID
The Abandoned Kepler Region
The new key destination is the mysterious planetoid Kepler, hidden deep within the Reef. This abandoned place was once inhabited by a human colony and forgotten factions of the Fallen, but today it is marked by a mysterious anomaly that has left traces of destruction and transformation. On Kepler, you will meet new characters, discover remnants of the past, and uncover layers of story that expand the mythology of the Destiny world. Every step in this area can lead to a new revelation, or to a new danger.
ANOMALY
Kepler unlocks new abilities
Furthermore, your Guardians will gain access to unique abilities tied directly to this location. The anomaly on Kepler allows you to unlock new powers that will significantly influence your playstyle. These so-called “destination abilities” open up previously unknown possibilities for movement, attack, and defence, while also pushing the boundaries of what Guardians are capable of achieving in the fight against the darkness.
KOBOLDS
New enemies are coming
And it is on Kepler that you will also encounter new enemies. The first type are the Kobolds—Vex swarm units that will literally overwhelm you with their numerical superiority. The second threat is posed by elite hovering Fallen known as Corsairs, who fight with precise tactics and relentless determination. Each of these enemies requires a different approach and tactic, which makes every encounter a thrilling test of your abilities.
