ED glass optics and BaK-4 prisms
The optical system of the Levenhuk New Wise Pro ED 12×50 monocular consists of an ED glass lens and BaK-4 prisms, which ensure a high-contrast image and accurate colour reproduction across the entire field of view. Both the objective lens and other lenses have a multi-layer anti-reflective coating that increases light transmission. The Levenhuk monocular's optical design consists of 7 elements in 5 groups. The objective lens contains 3 elements in 2 groups and the eyepiece has 4 elements in 3 groups.
Focusing, field of view and twist-up eyecup
The focusing system of the Levenhuk monocular lets you quickly and accurately adjust the focus according to the distance of the observed object. The field of view is 5.5°, which corresponds to a width of 96m at a distance of 1000m. The 4.2mm exit pupil and 18mm eye relief allow for comfortable viewing with glasses. A three-position twist-up eyecup makes longer viewing more comfortable, and the closest focusing distance of 3m lets you view nature up close too.
Body and optics protection with nitrogen filling
The body of the Levenhuk New Wise Pro ED 12×50 monocular is made of durable ABS plastic. The hermetically sealed interior is filled with nitrogen, which keeps the optics clear during temperature changes. The IP67 rating provides complete protection against dust and resistance to water ingress during temporary immersion. The operating temperature range of −20 to +55°C allows you to use the Levenhuk monocular all year round.
Lightweight design and tripod observation
A weight of just 455g and the compact dimensions of the Levenhuk New Wise Pro ED 12×50 monocular make it easy to carry. The wrist strap provides a more secure grip for handheld observation. For longer stationary viewing, the monocular can be mounted on a tabletop tripod. The tripod stabilises the image during long observations of distant objects. The case and protective caps facilitate safe transport and storage of the optics.
