You can look forward to Best Friends scenarios, 2 special holiday scenarios Santa Claus and Easter Bunny and 2 geographical scenarios where you will find yourself in the Iberian Peninsula or at the Rickshaw Ralley. All scenarios are playable in up to 6 players and introduce you to new gameplay options for exploring Catan. In addition to the clear rules that introduce you to the basic game and each of the 5 scenarios, you will also find an almanac with explanatory notes on the game and a sample of the game moves. Catan Big Box 3rd Edition is designed for 3 to 6 players aged 10 and up. You can play one game in approximately 75 minutes.

Catan is a new version of the popular board game Settlers of Catan that retains everything from the original version, but adds new sculpted figures of towns, villages and roads. In the game you find yourself in the role of sailors who sail to the coast of the island of Catan. Your task will be to acquire key resources, trade them strategically and build roads and villages that will gradually grow into cities. You have to watch out not only for your opponents, but also for the thief who moves around the island. Who will be the most successful and win the race for supremacy over Catan? In the Big Box you will find the Catan base game for 3-4 players and an add-on game for 5-6 players. This add-on does not add any new gameplay options, it only contains components for 2 additional players.
Bring Catan to life with fun scenarios
Big Box Catan 3rd Edition contains 5 scenarios in addition to the base game. These scenarios not only add variety to the game, but also add new rules and new gameplay possibilities. In the Best Friends scenario, instead of fighting for supremacy, you'll be trying to help your opponents -by giving them resources, moving thieves to remote areas, or connecting your roads to theirs. However, it's not selflessness that will drive you to do this, but the rewards in the form of favor tokens that will bring you a number of valuable benefits. The Santa Claus and Easter Bunny scenarios will give your game the right festive atmosphere. Bunny is looking for sheep's wool for Easter sweaters, Santa for a new coat. If you provide them with one, they will reward you handsomely and perhaps even drive away thieves. In the geographical scenarios, you'll move to a different location and inhabit the Iberian Peninsula instead of Catan, or find yourself in India at the Rickshaw Ralley. On both geographically unique game maps you will also find significant locations from the area, about which you can read a number of interesting facts in the rules. All scenarios are playable in up to 6 players.
