VITASTEROL s-80 is a product that contains natural mixed phytosterols. Phytosterols, also known as plant sterols, are compounds naturally occurring in the structure of plant cell walls. This particular product contains 99% phytosterols and includes various types of sterols such as beta-sitosterol, campesterol, stigmasterol, beta-sitostanol, campestanol and brassicasterol. When using any product containing phytosterols, such as VITASTEROL s-80, it is important to follow the recommended dosage and be aware of possible interactions with other substances. Consumption of added plant sterols/plant stanols should not exceed 3 g/day. Vitasterol® s-80 WDP (95%) Non GMO is a white-yellowish powder with a slight characteristic aroma of vegetable oil. Vitasterol® S-80 Non GMO is a concentrated form of phytosterols (mainly Beta-sitosterol, Campesterol and Stigmasterol)

Phytosterols
Beta-sitosterol isthe most common type of phytosterol in plants, found in nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables. Campesterol is the second most abundant phytosterol, commonly found in a large number of vegetable oils. Stigmasterol is mainly found in vegetable oils and some vegetables. Beta-sitosterol and Campestanol are saturated forms of beta-sitosterol and campesterol and may be found in smaller amounts in the diet. Brassicasterol less common, typically found in some vegetable oils and brassicas.
