Magnesium bisglycinate
Magnesium bisglycinate is a chelated form of the mineral magnesium, where magnesium is bound to two molecules of the amino acid glycine, forming a stable chelate complex. Chelation is the process by which a mineral is bound to an organic molecule, allowing for better transport and utilization of that mineral in the body. The chelation process helps to increase the absorption of magnesium in the body by allowing it to be transported across the intestinal barrier more efficiently than some other forms of magnesium, such as magnesium oxide. The chelated form of magnesium, such as magnesium bisglycinate, is better absorbed in the intestine compared to other forms of magnesium. This pure form of magnesium ensures effective delivery of this essential mineral to the body. Magnesium bisglycinate is a popular choice for magnesium supplementation precisely because of its high absorption and stomach friendliness. Magnesium bisglycinate is most commonly available in dietary supplements in the form of capsules, which ensure its precise dosage. The magnesium bisglycinate we use in our product is produced by the top German manufacturer MAGNESIA GmbH under the brand name MagChel®.
Zinc bisglycinate
Zinc bisglycinate is a chelated form of the mineral zinc, where zinc is bound to two molecules of the amino acid glycine. This form of chelate is designed to improve the absorption and bioavailability of zinc in the body. Chelation is the process by which a mineral is bound to an organic molecule, allowing better transport and utilization of that mineral in the body. By being bound to two glycine molecules, zinc forms a stable chelate complex. This structure protects zinc from interactions with other substances in the digestive tract that could reduce its absorption. It is a popular choice for zinc supplementation precisely because of its high absorption and gentleness to the stomach. Zinc bisglycinate is most commonly available in dietary supplements in the form of capsules to ensure accurate dosing.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin that is essential for various bodily functions. It is a powerful antioxidant, which contributes to the maintenance of normal immune system function during and after intense physical exercise, to normal collagen production for normal blood vessel function, to normal collagen production for normal bone function, to normal collagen production for normal cartilage function, to normal collagen production for normal gum function, to normal collagen production for normal skin function, to normal collagen production for normal tooth function, to normal energy metabolism, to the normal functioning of the nervous system, to normal mental activity, to protect cells from oxidative stress, to reduce the rate of fatigue and exhaustion and increase iron absorption.
Coenzyme Q10
Coenzyme Q10 is available as a dietary supplement, which is useful for people who want to increase their intake of this substance beyond what they get from food. Due to its properties, it is a popular ingredient in dietary supplements and is valued for its versatile uses. It is present in mitochondria, the energy factories of cells, where it plays a key role in the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the main source of energy for cellular processes. Coenzyme Q10 is found in all cells of the body, with the highest concentrations in energy-intensive organs such as the heart, liver and kidneys. GreenFood Nutrition Coenzyme Q10 contains Coenzyme Q10 produced by fermentation from corn, which provides a consistently high level of bioavailability. This is one of the most modern and environmentally friendly methods.
Ferrous gluconate
Ferrous gluconate is a form of iron that is chemically a compound of gluconic acid and iron. The adult body contains approximately 3.5 to 5 grams of iron. Most of the iron in the human body is found in the red blood pigment (haemoglobin). Haemoglobin is needed by our red blood cells to function properly and ensure a perfect oxygen supply to all body cells. However, iron is indispensable not only for blood formation, but also, for example, for the normal functioning of the immune system. Iron is also involved in the process of cell division. Since our body cannot make iron on its own, it is advisable to supplement it when needed.
Selenium Lalmin®
The yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, known for its nutritional properties, is used to produce Selen Lalmin®. The yeast is grown under controlled conditions on a nutrient medium rich in sugars, minerals and other nutrients. During cultivation, selenium in the form of sodium selenite is added to the culture medium. The yeast absorbs this selenium and incorporates it into its cellular structure. This process is called "biofortification". The yeast continues to grow and ferment, during which it is further enriched with selenium. Fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures and other conditions that promote optimal growth and enrichment. Once the fermentation process is complete, the yeast is harvested, which involves separating the yeast from the culture medium. The harvested yeast is dried to obtain a stable product with a long shelf life. Dried yeast enriched with selenium is further processed into the desired form, for example powder, which is intended for supplementation. The selenium contained in Lalmin® is bioavailable, which may be beneficial for those who prefer this source of selenium. Selenium Lalmin® is suitable for vegans.
Chromium Lalmin®
Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast, known for its nutritional properties, is used to produce Chrom Lalmin®. The yeast is grown under controlled conditions on a nutrient medium rich in sugars, minerals and other nutrients. During cultivation, chromium is added to the culture medium in a form that is well absorbed by the yeast. Yeast absorbs this chromium and incorporates it into its cellular structure. This process is called "biofortification". The yeast continues to grow and ferment, during which it is further enriched with chromium. Fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures and other conditions that promote optimal growth and enrichment. Once the fermentation process is complete, the yeast is harvested, which involves separating the yeast from the culture medium. The harvested yeast is dried to obtain a stable product with a long shelf life. Dried yeast enriched with chromium is further processed into the desired form, for example powder, which is intended for supplementation of looms. The chromium contained in Lalmin® is bioavailable, which may be beneficial for those who prefer this source of selenium. Chromium Lalmin® is suitable for vegans.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin, which means that its intake should be accompanied by the consumption of fatty acids. The best way to ensure adequate intake of this vitamin is to take it after or during meals. Vitamin E is considered one of the most important vitamins in the human body. There are eight types of vitamin E, which include tocopherols and tocotrienols. One of the most active forms is DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, which is a synthetic form of vitamin E. Vitamin E helps protect cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin E can be recommended to all those who focus on a healthy lifestyle. Its use can be part of a daily diet. The activity of vitamin E may increase with the simultaneous action of selenium. The best way to ensure effective absorption of vitamin E is to take it along with food that contains fat. This ensures that vitamin E can be properly absorbed and utilized by the body.
Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3, also known as cholecalciferol, is one form of vitamin D that plays a key role in biological processes in the body. The vitamin D3 in this product comes from algae. The algae used to produce vitamin D3 are specially grown under controlled conditions. These algae are capable of producing a precursor to vitamin D3 called ergosterol. Just as human skin produces vitamin D3 when exposed to sunlight, algae also produce vitamin D3 when exposed to UV light. The process involves exposing the dried algae to UVB radiation, which converts ergosterol into vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). After UV exposure, vitamin D3 is extracted from the algae and undergoes several purification steps to obtain a highly pure product suitable for use in dietary supplements. Growing algae for vitamin D3 production is environmentally friendly and sustainable because it does not require the use of animal resources. Modern manufacturing processes ensure that Vitamin D3 from algae is highly pure and consistent, ensuring a quality end product.
Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12, also known as cyanocobalamin, is a water-soluble vitamin that is essential for many important functions in the body. For vegans, supplementing with this vitamin is especially important because it occurs naturally in animal products. Fortified foods and supplements are key sources of vitamin B12 for vegans to ensure adequate intake of this vitamin. Cyanocobalamin, a commonly used form of vitamin B12, is useful for supplementing this vitamin.
