Enzymatically hydrolysed German branded Collagen Viscofan® with high biological value and absorbability. Collagen hydrolysates (Viscofan® collagen peptides) are produced from cold-water fish, mainly salmon and cod, in a multi-step process that involves gelatinization and subsequent enzymatic hydrolysis of native collagen providing peptides with an average molecular weight (SMW) of approximately 3 kDa. Such a low molecular weight can only be achieved by cold hydrolysis of fish collagen. Such a low molecular weight is important for the absorbability of collagen. However, collagen is only absorbed by the human body if the body receives sufficient amounts of vitamin C, which is why Collagen Beauty Forte contains Acerola extract and Vitamin B3.

What is collagen?
