The image can be further optimised with GameVisual technology, which offers seven preset display modes. These profiles make it easy to tailor the image to different types of content and are available directly from the quick menu.
FHD image resolution at refresh rates up to 240 Hz
Activate Frame Rate Boost for an ultra-smooth FHD image at up to 240Hz refresh rate (with scaling), with an extremely low 0.01ms response time. This mode is designed for competitive gaming where split-second decisions are critical, and significantly reduces motion blur and ghosting. This makes tracking fast-paced scenes more accurate, reactions faster and overall on-screen movement smoother, giving you a distinct advantage in dynamic games.
A sharp image from edge to edge
ROG XREAL R1 delivers truly spectacular visuals with a 171" virtual screen built on Micro-OLED technology. As a result, the image remains firmly in place and looks natural, as if it were part of the real environment. The result is a significantly higher level of immersion, improved focus and a smoother visual experience.
With 3 levels of darkening
The integrated electrochromic lenses offer three levels of darkening, making it easy to adjust the image to the surrounding light conditions. Instantaneous colouration helps reduce distracting ambient light and improves contrast and image legibility.
In addition, the ROG Control Dock supports HDR to SDR conversion, so there's no need to change settings in Windows. For maximum convenience, the device can be connected to the DisplayWidget Center and adjust the image and other parameters with the mouse or voice directly while playing.

The image is natural, detailed and visually consistent even in challenging scenes. The audio is powered by Sound by Bose technology, which delivers precise, spatial audio that makes it easy to pick up subtle game details like distant footsteps or ambient effects for a much deeper and more realistic gaming immersion.
An immersive 3D experience
Advanced real-time 2D-to-3D conversion instantly expands game content into a spatial view with significant depth and a natural sense of scale. It turns ordinary games into visually rich worlds, that look more realistic and dynamic. The seamless transition ensures you can fully immerse yourself in the action and enjoy a significantly more intense and immersive 3D experience.
Adapts to the shape of the face
The lightweight 91 gram design ensures a balanced and comfortable fit even with extended use. The R1 goggles are designed to adapt naturally to different face shapes thanks to the adjustable M and L size frames, which allow for an individual fit according to the height of the bridge of the nose. The adjustable sides offer three levels of vertical adjustment with the possibility of a gentle tilt of up to 3.5° at each level. The spring hinge automatically adjusts to the shape of the head and provides a stable and secure fit with a total adjustment range of up to 15°, so the goggles remain comfortable and firm in any situation.
Availability in two sizes
The adjustable IPD allows precise adjustment of the distance between the pupils, resulting in a perfectly aligned image and significantly reducing eye fatigue. ROG XREAL R1 are available in two IPD sizes ranging from 57 to 75 mm. Correctly setting this value ensures a sharp image and accurate depth perception in augmented reality, while IPD can be easily measured using an app, for examplewith an optician or a ruler.
