The story takes place on Earth in its near future, where the only way for humanity to survive is the integration of human brains into machines. The Earth' s climate is no longer acceptable to humans. This process is completely voluntary, but not everyone agrees. In the end, people have to choose - integration or death. Romer, together with the outlaws, fights for the restart of human society and hence the very name of the game - disintegration.
