DeepCool FD12 V2

DeepCool FD12 V2
The DeepCool FD12 V2 PC fan is designed to efficiently dissipate heat from computer components using airflow. This fan features an improved blade design that promotes strong airflow and high static pressure while maintaining low operating noise. At the heart of the fan is a Hydro-Dynamic Bearing, which reduces friction and contributes to smooth operation across the entire speed range. As a PWM fan, it offers automatic speed control from 500 to 2500 RPM, which gives the system the ability to dynamically respond to the current thermal load. Its properties make it suitable for use in computer cases, as well as on water-cooling radiators or passive heatsinks.
Key features of the DeepCool FD12 V2 PC fan
- Wide speed range from 500 to 2500 RPM
- Generates an airflow of 135.74m³/h
- Hydro-Dynamic Bearing supports smooth operation
- Noise level of 35.66dB
- Speed control via a 4-pin PWM signal
- Blade design delivers high static pressure of 4.15mm H₂O
Performance and speed control
The fan operates over a wide speed range from 500 to 2500 RPM. The speed is controlled by PWM (Pulse Width Modulation), which lets the motherboard automatically adjust the fan's performance based on the processor or system temperature. It uses a standard 4-pin PWM connector for connection. At its top speed, the fan generates an airflow of 135.74m³/h and creates a static pressure of 4.15mm H₂O. The high static pressure value enables it to effectively blow through the dense fins of heatsinks or radiators. The operating voltage is 12V and the total power consumption is 4.8W.
Construction and bearings
A Hydro-Dynamic Bearing forms the basis for smooth and quiet operation. This type of bearing uses a thin layer of oil that separates the moving parts, reducing friction and wear. The result is lower operating noise, which does not exceed 35.66dB at full power. The improved blade design with its semi-integrated construction was engineered with aerodynamic optimisation in mind. The blades efficiently direct the airflow and increase static pressure without an excessive increase in noise. This quiet PC fan is therefore also suitable for use in low-noise builds.
Physical parameters and installation
The fan has a standard size and depth, corresponding to the common format for mounting in computer cases, on processor coolers, or on water-cooling radiators. The fan's weight is 137g, and you will find one fan in the package. Installation is done using four standard screws that fasten into the mounting holes in the corners of the frame. For power and speed control, it uses a single cable ending in a 4-pin PWM connector, which you connect directly to the motherboard or a compatible fan hub. This connection method simplifies cable management inside the case.
Operating characteristics
The fan's operating behaviour dynamically adapts to the system's needs thanks to PWM control. Under light load, such as when working with documents or browsing the web, it keeps the speed at 500 RPM, resulting in almost silent operation. Conversely, under high load, like gaming or video rendering, the speed automatically increases to up to 2500 RPM to dissipate a sufficient amount of heat. This wide operating range supports effective cooling without unnecessary noise.
