Speciality coffee from the Gayo Highlands in Sumatra
This speciality coffee from the Gayo Highlands in Sumatra, personally selected by our roaster directly in Indonesia, combines the typical character of Sumatran coffees—it has a medium-full body and a pleasant sweetness. In its flavour profile, you'll find notes of apple, dried raisins, and hazelnut cream. The coffee comes from a community of farmers led by Rama, who emphasise sustainable cultivation and precise processing.

Preparation
Grind the coffee to a coarseness suitable for your chosen brewing methour We supply our coffee as whole beans (not ground) as standard.
Storage
Only open the coffee bag just before brewing. There's no need to transfer the beans to another container. Simply reseal the bag using the zip lock. The three-layer packaging protects the coffee from air, while the one-way valve allows the naturally produced carbon dioxide to escape. This allows the beans to degas without going stale. Keep the package somewhere with a stable temperature and low humidity—which is definitely not the fridge or freezer. The coffee would unnecessarily absorb moisture and surrounding odours. Even our special bags wouldn't help in that environment.
