Screwless aluminium external AXAGON EE25-A6C RAW enclosure with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) interface, designed for 2.5" SATA hard drives or SSDs. Connection to a computer is enabled via the reversible USB-C connector on the enclosure, together with the supplied USB-C to USB-A cable. The SATA 6G interface with UASP support ensures the speeds of modern SSDs. Support for the TRIM function to limit the gradual degradation of SSD performance over time. Reading of S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) information to monitor the drive’s condition. Support for putting both the connected drive and the enclosure into sleep mode. The unique screwless enclosure opening facilitates both drive installation and removal. The enclosure’s internal frame securely holds and protects the inserted drive. The foam spacers supplied allow the use of 7 mm HDDs and SSDs. The aluminium body of the enclosure aids cooling and allows for easy drive replacement. The brushed finish of the enclosure prevents unwanted fingerprints.

Data transfer speeds and device features
Support for data transfer rates of 5,000 / 480 Mbit/s (SuperSpeed / HighSpeed) for the AXAGON external enclosure. The total throughput / transfer rate of the enclosure is determined by the USB interface used (theoretical 5 Gbit/s). Support for BOT (Bulk-Only Transport). HDD Auto Spindown—automatic disk sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity. HDD Turn Off—disks are switched off when the device is removed or the PC goes to sleep. Connection via a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 female connector. A discreet LED indicating connection to the computer’s USB port (steady light) and data transfer (flashing).
Supported operating systems
The AXAGON EE25-A6C external box supports MS Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11 and later, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019 and later (all 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows are supported), Mac OS X 10.x and later, and Linux with kernel 2.6.x and later. The drivers are included in the supported operating systems and are installed completely automatically . No other drivers need to be installed, nor are any available.
