GeForce GTX 1080
NVIDIA's flagship delivers unprecedented graphical performance, even in 4K resolutions.
16nm chip
The new Pascal GP104 chip consists of 7.2 billion transistors and runs at a considerably higher frequency compared to previous generations.
VR support
The card calculates multiple views of the same scene simultaneously, helping to achieve fantastic results in virtual reality applications.
Groundbreaking modern platform
The Pascal GP104 graphics chip features 2560 CUDA cores, accompanied by 160 texture units. The chip is clocked at 1607MHz, though it reaches an impressive 1733MHz with the Boost Mode.
Virtual reality has never been so close
The GeForce GTX 1080 is expected to advance virtual reality significantly, due to its completely new GDDR5X memory. A new manufacturing process enables it to reach faster levels of throughput and the memory clock has skyrocketed to a stunning 10GHz.
Generally, you can expect performance increases of up to 3 times when using VR applications.
Top-notch graphics with the ASUS Strix GTX 1080-08G GAMING Graphics Card
The Strix series is a proven graphics card range reserved for the best gaming hardware ASUS has to offer. The GTX 1080 utilises exclusive ASUS technologies such as DirectCU III with two 10mm heat pipes, using three silent wing-blade fans designed for maximum airflow. The direct-GPU heat pipes transport up to 40% more heat than reference designs. As a result, this technology achieves a cooling performance of up to 30% higher and is up to three times quieter than standard cards. This, among other things, allows the card to reach an incredible level of performance in Boost Mode.
High levels of customisation
The ASUS Strix GTX 1080-08G GAMING is enhanced with the Aura RGB feature. It is a striking LED backlight system that particularly excels in computers with transparent side panels. Show your gaming passion via six pre-set lighting profiles consisting of millions of colours.
Advanced tuning and streaming application
GPU Tweak II with XSplit Gamecaster is designed for easy performance tuning and streaming of your gaming sessions. Its intuitive user interface makes overclocking easier and more visually synoptic than ever before. Despite its user-friendly look, the utility offers many advanced features for experienced users.
