Greater Stability and Signal Range
ASUS AiRadar intelligently boosts wireless performance with the unique ASUS RF Fine-tuning feature. The result is wider coverage, a dynamic increase in data transfer rates and improved stability.
Maximum Flexibility
The DSL-AC55U Router offers several ways to connect to the Internet - you can choose from DSL, Ethernet or 3G/4G LTE (requires a compatible USB dongle). You can use your device as a DSL modem with a WiFi router or as a separate WiFi router. With the ability to quickly switch between individual connections if one fails, or the ability to combine multiple broadband bandwidths, it is the ideal solution for a reliable and always available Internet connection.
Gigabit Internet with Hardware NAT
The DSL-AC55U Router features a powerful hardware module for NAT acceleration and integrated Gigabit Ethernet. This allows you to enjoy full Gigabit performance. The bandwidth between WAN and LAN is more than 900Mbps, which is 4.5 times more than traditional NAT Gigabit routers. The risk of slowing down the high-speed Internet connection is virtually zero.
Perfect Control and Optimisation
With the intuitive DSL-ASUSWRT user interface, you'll find all the applications needed to set, monitor and manage your network in one place. The brand new interface lets you manage all adapters and settings through a single graphics panel. Updates can also be done with a single click.
ASUS AiCloud - Your World Always at Hand
With ASUS AiCloud, you'll always have your data on hand - just by accessing an internet connection. It connects your home network with the WebStorage online store, which you can access via the AiCloud mobile app on your iOS or Android smartphone or through a customized URL in your web browser.
Download and Stream from Anywhere
With the Download Master and an enhanced multimedia server, you can download and stream media files from devices connected to the USB router on compatible devices such as PCs, tablets, PS4, Xbox, or smart TV's. The download Master can download files even when the computer is off. In addition, you can manage and monitor downloaded files remotely.
Supports VPN Server and VPN Client
The Asus DSL-AC55U offers a simple VPN server and VPN client setup for secure and private home or internet access. The VPN server with PPTP/OpenVPN support can be easily set up without the need to use paid VPN services or a stand-alone VPN server. The DSL-AC55U router can also convert network-connected devices to VPN clients through PPTP/L2TP and OpenVPN without having to install additional VPN software.
