The Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 uses advanced millimeter wave technology to reliably detect the presence of people and the slightest movement. with minimal risk of false alarms. The sensor has a human fall detection function, a sleep monitoring mode and a built-in light sensor that expands the possibilities when creating local automations. Presence Sensor FP2 can monitor a space of up to 40 m², which can also be divided into 30 zones. You can then set each zone within the smart home to take its own automated action, which will be performed depending on the presence or absence of people in the area. The Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 is compatible with many popular smart home platforms such as HomeKit, Home Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Alice. The sensor can be integrated into a smart home without using the Aqara hub.

The FP2 sensor uses high precision millimetre wave radar
Thanks to its millimetre wave radar wave technology, the FP2 sensor can accurately detect even the smallest movement with minimal false alarms. In addition, its use does not require a camera monitoring system, ensuring maximum user privacy. The sensor can detect up to 5 people at the same time, making it ideal for households with multiple members. In alarm mode, the sensor can trigger an alarm and send an alert if it detects movement in the room.
Fall detection and sleep monitoring
When installed on the ceiling, the Aqara FP2 sensor can alert a person to a fall in the assigned space. The range for correct fall detection is a circle with a radius of 2 meters, and the accuracy of fall detection is > 98 %. The detector is also equipped with a light sensor, which can be used for creating home scenes and automation. There is also a sleep monitoring function (for one sleeping person) that records your heart and breathing rate while you sleep.
Presence Sensor FP2 offers flexible installation options
You can use the included sticker and metal plate to install the Aqara FP2 sensor on a wall or ceiling (up to 2 meters high), or screws if you are installing the device higher than 2 meters from the ground. The magnetic stand then allows optimal adjustment of the viewing angle. If you install the sensor in a corner of the room, you need to adjust the room map to eliminate dead zones and angles. Thanks to the IPX5 rating, the sensor can be installed even in wet environments. The device is powered by a hidden USB-C port.
