WD Red with NASware 3.0 now supports small NAS systems with 1 to 8 positions, offering greater compatibility and reliability. Unique algorithms in NASWARE tune performance and optimise power consumption to save money for your wallet. In addition, lower consumption reduces drive heating, resulting in increased reliability and durability. The smart bug fix system prevents RAID box drives from being discarded due to excessively long error recovery. During sudden power outages, NASware will ensure that the command is completed before disabling the drive itself.

Streaming Support - NASware boasts compatibility with the ATA Streaming Feature Set, which is important for use in audio-visual storage such as Windows Media Center.
