Lanterns

Parameters

• Brightness - is measured in lumens (lm). This value tells you how much light you are getting from the light source. Some lanterns offer multiple brightness settings.
• Maximum light distance – depends on the total light output in lumens (lm) and how focused or scattered the light is. Light sources with focused light output reach a longer distance than sources with scattered light, even if their brightness value is exactly the same.
• Lamp life - the approximate time the light bulb will work correctly, before its brightness drops below a certain threshold or it stops working altogether.

Power supply

• Batteries (AA/AAA) - are used in small and less powerful lanterns with lower weight.
• In-built battery - powerful lanterns use high-capacity integrated batteries, which allow them to generate more light longer.

Other features

• Impact resistance - the lantern can withstand vibrations and shocks.
• Water-resistant - can handle the mist and rain, but not actual immersion in water.
• Watertight - can withstand immersion in water.
• Motion sensor - lights up when it detects movement in the vicinity.
