Like all professional coffee makers, the SAGE BES980 comes equipped with a pressurised valve. Extraction pressure is regulated with the over-pressure valve to make sure your drinks aren't overdrawn, and you can enjoy consistent coffee in less time with dedicated espresso and steam boiler pumps. It prevents the coffee grains from burning.

Adjustable Temperature, Pressure and Grind

The low-pressure pre-wash system delivers water at a pressure to allow the coffee to swell and release its aromas. Once pre-infusion is completed, maximum flavour potential is achieved when espresso is extracted. You can also set the exact amount of grinding you prefer. You also have a choice about the milk temperature you prefer. The dual stainless-steel boilers and heated group head, both regulated by the digital temperature control (PID) automatically delivers the water at precisely the right temperature, extracting maximum flavour potential. It also compensates for fluctuations in temperature throughout the process, which is why the final coffee taste is so delicious.
