RODE VideoMic is a directional condenser microphone designed to record sound alongside digital cameras, action cameras and other personal electronics. The size is adapted for easy installation into the camera holder or sound bar. The Rycote Lyre suspension with an anti-shock system features a reinforced ABS plastic body will take care of the capsule's isolation against ambient noise and vibration damping to prevent unwanted shaking.
The super-cardioid directional characteristic will provide high-directional sound recording. You can hear everything in front of the microphone, and surrounding noises are minimised. Optional -10dB and -20dB level attenuation allow for the quality recording of loud sound sources such as live music or motorsport. A benefit of this microphone is the presence of a low noise preamplifier and an adjustable high pass filter that boosts the sensitivity from 40Hz to 80Hz to avoid disturbing noises. Its high-quality design is reflected in its low noise when handling.
