The RODE VideoMic GO is a lightweight, compact, directional microphone designed for DSLR, that costs about half the price of the popular VideoMic Pro. It comes with an elastic and flexible special shock-resistant attachment. Rycote Lyre eliminates the risk of cracking sounds and vibration effects. In addition to the basic mounting option, it also has a 3/8" thread.
The very narrow-angle of scanning (with a super-cardioid directional pattern) is routed directly to the microphone,
which limits the intrusion of unwanted ambient noise to the recording, providing you with a selectively clean sound of the recorded object (for example, one specific instrument in an orchestra).
The studio microphone parameters provide a very clean and crisp sound. The cylindrical microphone is manufactured from a single piece of thermoplastic material and is designed for camera attachment without the need for any setup or batteries. It's powered directly from a 3.5mm jack on any compatible camera.
