It took me about an hour to figure out this hellishness. Plug the device into a power outlet, then press and hold the "TIMER" button until the wi-fi light flashes. Only then open the app and (most likely) it will find the device itself. If not, run the whole dehumidifier and mobile closer to the wifi router. Notice: If you have a wifi router on two bands, 2.4GHz and 5GHz, connect on your mobile to the band that has 2.4GHz. But you missed out on about an hour of fun getting the wifi working: D Btw. Even the visualization of the product image does not match, I have e.g. black top, the others are white.

The reason for the purchase was to reduce window dew in the apartment. It helped. In a room of about 30 m2 it can reduce the humidity by about 10% - from 65-70% to 55-60%. I couldn't get the humidity below 50% (without ventilation). In night mode, it will keep the humidity within the set range (fixed from the factory at 57% - 63%). It can "produce" over 2 litres of condensate per night. You can only connect to WiFi (in the TUYA mobile app) immediately after plugging in the power, when the WiFi light flashes. Bluetooth must also be active on the mobile phone. The instructions talk about holding the on button for a long time - that didn't work for me.
