I didn't want the temperature in the bedroom to reach 28 degrees or more in the summer because our baby sleeps with us. This air conditioner does the job and costs less: ). A big plus is that, even though we have screens on the windows, installation isn't a problem. You don’t need to buy anything extra. It doesn't take long to cool down. We switch it off at night, but it’s not particularly noisy. It seems to me that it’s sometimes noisier outside, and the window would have to be open if the air conditioning were on. As soon as the temperature drops below zero, tape is stuck to the window, to which a strip of fabric (a seal) is attached, through which the “pipe” is threaded. You have to take the fabric off and put it back on every time; it’s a lot of work. If it won't come off, the window won't close properly. But we’re happy with it for the price, and I reckon it’ll only be in the window for the summer. Then we’ll take the tape off the window as well.

We decided to buy the air conditioner because of the baby (toddler - 19 months). We suffered last summer, especially when we were putting him to sleep. Ventilators, defrosters (for water + ice) and blackouts helped but this year we decided to buy this air conditioner after a pretty nice discount. I regret not buying it last year. It cools the whole bedroom beautifully before putting the baby to bed. The volume is not terrible (after the negative reviews I expected worse) but who would expect anything else from an air conditioner under 10k?
