I had an older model which only had a power output of 400W and wasn’t powerful enough for long hair. This more powerful model is definitely better; my hair is blow-dried in under 10 minutes, and it’s smooth and beautifully styled. However, I’m deducting two stars because of the change to the way the brushes are removed or replaced. Well, that was a complete disaster. Whilst on the old model there was a button on the body of the hair dryer for this purpose and the brush could simply be ‘dropped’ into the cover to cool down, with this model you have to twist the hot brush with your fingers, just like a bottle cap. I’ve no idea which designer could have come up with such a daft idea, or how it managed to pass safety regulations. Yes, I can wait for it to cool down, but if I need to switch to a second brush whilst blow-drying, there’s no time to wait for it to cool down. It’s a shame; otherwise, it’s a really great hair dryer.
