Finally, we have a real gaming monitor. What the previous technologies TN, VA, IPS offered were mere compromises. A QD-OLED monitor is a gamer's dream. It is not only about the quality of the image, but also about the display speed (fading) of the image pixel, which is absolutely unbeatable - GTG 0.1 ms (average 0.5 ms). With these times and a display frequency of 175 Hz, the image is beautifully smooth and clear in motion. In this case, 175 Hz makes sense because the response time is so small that the pixel can be rendered in a fraction of the display frequency. In terms of contrast and colour rendering, everything is absolutely fabulous. Well, the black one, it's like compressed darkness. Among other things, I had the opportunity to compare the AW3423DWF with the AW3423DW and in the end I preferred the AW3423DW because of the native G-Sync module, as it is a bit smoother in crisis situations (frame drops).

I had this dream. Buy the ultimate monitor for MasterRace PC gaming that will have solved all the problems that have plagued PC monitors for years, both IPS (tragic backlighting completely unsuitable for gaming at night), VA (tragic ghosting, clouding and color uniformity), TN (tragic visibility from angles, etc. ) I also wanted properly working VRR, HDR, and all that combined with UW-QHD and blacks like in the CRT days: ) With this monitor, I finally got my wish after 40 years of searching.
Thin frames
Only handles 8bit colours at 175 Hz

I'm glad I was able to get one over the holidays, I was considering the LG C2 42 OLED or the Asus PG42UQ OLED which are also fantastic, but I'm glad I ended up choosing the Alienware which is the best solution for my needs at the moment - I recommend it
colours
black
HDR
Not 4K, can achieve high framerates ( RTX 3090 )
looks valuable - build
subjectively great design
for PC gaming probably really the best monitor of today
the price is acceptable
thanks to Alza for delivery, it seems I was lucky to get a batch to CR
curvature subjectively super
it's not 4K, despite PPI °°110, someone who has 4K with a smaller diagonal may find it insufficiently fine - in my opinion, it can be reasonably noticeable only at work, not so much with multimedia content
not designed for work, take as a monitor preferably for PC gaming
not suitable for consoles
