Tablets are really popular nowadays, however often they are not very comfortable when writing long texts. The new Microsoft Surface Book 2 looks like an ordinary laptop at a first glance, but do not let its design deceive you. It has a luxurious display, which is detachable from the keyboard. The Microsoft Surface Book 2 has a great chance to become a complete legend in the hardware area.
The Microsoft Surface Book 2 comes with a familiar 2v1 system where the screen is detachable from the keyboard and can be even connected back rotated by 180 degrees. All this is possible due to a well-thought-out hinge called Muscle Wire. To remove the display, you must press a button, but in all other cases, the display will stay connected to the keyboard as if it was nailed to it.
The tablet itself stretches across an impressive 3,000 × 2,000 resolutiondisplay with 267 PPI. To control such a large area, you will surely use an included stylus that can recognise up to 1024 pressure levels. The surface of the display is of course completely immune to scratches. Inside, there is an unexpected hardware equipment in the form of the Intel Core i7 8650U Kaby Lake Refresh processor, which complements the integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 graphics card. An SSD drive will provide enough storage space with its remarkable capacity of 1TB. Nothing lacks in the area of wireless connectivity either - WiFi 802.11ac (2×2 MIMO) and Bluetooth 4.0. There is also a pair of cameras with 8Mpx resolution (back) and 5Mpx (front).
The tablet itself lasts only about three hours, but immediately after it is inserted into the keyboard dock, it shoots up to about 12 hours when playing videos. The keyboard comes with quality and backlit keys with a 1.6mm travel and a really large touchpad with a glass surface that can recognise up to five touches at the same time. On the left side, it has two USB 3.0 ports, an SD card reader, a mini Displayport and a charging port on the right.
