The Kingston low-voltage memory module serves to increase server performance for multitasking, or demanding tasks. This module is specifically designed for use with seamless compatibility in the HP/Compaq brand server. This is a great choice if you need to expand the memory on your server - especially if you require high performance with increasing user demands on data load, and needed programs.
ECC technology checks transparently, and in real time, the integrity of data stored in memory. It can find, and fix, an error in one bit and detect the error in two bits. Some memory controllers can also repair larger-scale errors in conjunction with the ECC. Most professional desktops require ECC-enabled memory. In cooperation with parity control, the memory achieves maximum control of transmitted data. The parity is that the auxiliary information (the so-called parity bit) is added to the single-word, and it can then verify the authenticity of the transferred data.
Registered memory is equipped with a custom controller that controls access to individual memory modules to make it easier for the memory controller to work on the board, or processor. The memory behaves externally as the only module - the register chip - which takes care of writing, and reading, from individual memory cells and transfers the controller to the result of these operations. This increases the efficiency of memory access and processing speed even when multiple memory modules are used at the same time. Some server boards require registered memory.
The memory has four separately addressable memory ranges with a 72-bit bus width (64 bit data and 8 bit ECC code). Most server chipsets have a limited memory rank or a specified memory configuration for individual slots, so you need to track this figure for future upgrades - if you have full memory rank on the motherboard, you will not be able to add another module even if there are some free Memory slots and capacity reserve.
The "x8" chip memory modules are affordable, but they do not support advanced server technologies such as multiple-bit error correction, Chipkill, memory scrubbing, or Intel Single Device DataCorrection (SDDC), and are therefore ideal for entry-level servers.
