The iPod Shuffle does not have a display, but just press the VoiceOver button and the player will tell you what song is playing. You can also switch between playlists using voice instructions. In addition, 2GB of internal memory is enough to store a large number of music files in many formats.
The player is incredibly light - it weighs only 12.5 grams and if it did not bring such an amazing listening experience, you would probably forget that you still have it. The body was made of polished aluminium and features a large control for precise and simple playback control.
