Without a functioning filter, no vacuum cleaner can work correctly. The Hoover U85 Motorised filter is placed in front of the air inlet to the vacuum cleaner motor, protecting it from dust particles. Gradual clogging decreases the power of the vacuum cleaner, so you'll have to replace the filter at some point.
