In 2016, GP Batteries introduced a new generation of ReCyko + and ReCyko + Pro rechargeable batteries. All of these batteries use state-of-the-art manufacturing technology and build on the previously successful award-winning series of rechargeable batteries. In comparison to their predecessors, the ReCyko + and ReCyko + Pro batteries offer many more improved features. For example, the new EnergyLock technology, has incredibly low self-discharge rates a feature common with non-rechargeable batteries. The battery retains enough energy power to enable immediate use, even after several years of storage without use.
The battery pack has up to 1,500 recharge cycles. These batteries are also able to function for up to several years.
ReCyko + rechargeable battery
The ReCyko + battery line offers a wide range of capacities with durability, enabling each user to obtain the optimum ratio between performance costs and operating costs.
The AA 2700 battery version also boasts one of the highest capacities available on the market.
As the primary ambassador of GP, the ReCyko + series rechargeable battery packs are pre-assembled and can be used immediately after unpacking or after long storage without use.
Key Product Features
The rechargeable NiMH GP batteries are immediately ready for use. This is due to many years of advanced research and engineering through to specialised production techniques, resulting in the increased ability to maintain their energy during storage in the retail chain.
The new EnergyLock technology results in minimal self-discharge batteries, a common feature found with non-rechargeable batteries. When charged, your batteries will remain charged for several years, even if you are not using them.
With a minimal self-discharge effect called Low-Self-Discharge (LSD), the battery retains up to 80% of energy when stored at room temperature. Recharge the battery again to obtain a fully charged battery.
Each rechargeable battery is factory limited by an approximate number of charge cycles. When this number of cycles is reached, the battery capacity, or the battery's ability to conserve as much energy as possible, drops significantly.
