Rise of the Tomb Raider - Xbox One
Intrepid archaeologist goes into action
Her first adventure made Lara Croft into a fighter who can survive anything. However, she also got a glimpse of a deeper and more mysterious world. In the next chapter of her journey, Lara will have to use all of her strength, learn to trust her new friends, and finally accept her fate as a tomb raider.
Get ready for two different large-scale locations with diverse gameplay
Rise of the Tomb Raider follows Lara and her friend Jonah Maiava, who had made his debut in the previous installment, on a quest to discover the ancient city of Kitezh, allegedly built by Prince Vladimir in the 13th century. In their struggle against Trinity, an organisation interested in the same ancient artifacts as Lara, the duo will have to face humans, animals, and theinhospitable environment if they want to discover the truth - about the artifacts, but also themselves.
Innovative gameplay mechanics
Rise of the Tomb Raider has improved stealth kills and environmental interaction, plus you can use weather effects and the day-night cycle to your benefit. A night-time ambush can be very effective, but watch out for predators who usually sleep during the day. But more importantly, the core of the Tomb Raider series are 3D exploration, solving puzzles, and discoveringhidden tombs. The new sequel offers plenty of all three.
