The special OC variant of the ENERMAX Platimax power supply should not be absent in the configuration of any high-performance lover. Since the DC circuit is already at its technological peak, the Enermax engineers have focused on developing a more efficient transformer. Thus, a "Dynamic Hybrid Transformer Topology" has been created, which can be divided into three basic parts.
1. Dynamic resonant field of the transformer
It is based on a highly efficient resonance topology, which is used, for example, on LCD monitors. The major noticeable change to PCB is the added resonance suppressor.
2. Dynamic increase of transformation voltage
First, the capacitors are charged with AC (Alternating Current) from the socket, which ensures a continuous supply of AC transformers according to DC consumption of the PC. Until now, the capacitors have been charged statically, so they had excessive losses at low take-offs. The Enermax Revolution87+ series capacitors are charged with dynamic voltage - according to the required system performance. With this, Enermax's resources greatly increase its efficiency.
3. Dynamic transformation frequencies
The transformers optimise alternating current up or down. During this operation, part of the power consumption is lost. The Enermax company has been able to optimise this process using dynamic frequencies. The transformers work with a wider frequency range in line with the variable consumption of system components. Due to this, Enermax resources significantly reduce their energy losses.

Due to the improved and highly efficient 5V stand-by (+5 VSB) circuit, it combines ErP/EuP Lot 6 with a base plate of less than 1W in standby mode. Cooling with the 13.9cm fan with the patented Twister Bearing Technology also delivers efficient and ultra-quiet cooling, supported by the long service life of the fan. It rotates very slowly at a low load, so it is very quiet - because another advantage of high efficiency is minimum waste heat.
The speciality of OCM EPM1000EWT is the only high-performance 12V power supply with a maximum current rating of 83A, giving you enough room for massive clocking. Enermax Platimax is simply a premium source, as demonstrated, for example, by the fact that at 1,000W of maximum power it can supply 1100W for 60sec. Just like the complete set of Japanese electrolytic capacitors that can operate at up to 105°C ambient temperature.
Other interesting features include the SpeedGuard Fan Speed Control, which ensures optimal cooling and minimal noise. The HeatGuard feature makes sure that the fan keeps rotating for 30-60 seconds after the computer is shut down to ensure a longer service life of the components. CordGuard protects the connected power cord against unintentional pulling out, for example during cleaning. And lastly, SafeGuard includes a wide range of protection against fluctuations and shocks in the network.
