The Corsair Hydro X XR5 280 NEO water cooling radiator dissipates thermal energy in custom-built cooling loops. Its dimensions allow for the installation of two fans. The core of the design is a copper core, which ensures rapid heat transfer from the coolant to the radiator structure itself. The combination of a copper core and thin fins effectively increases the total surface area for heat exchange and supports high cooling performance even at lower fan speeds. Radiator installation is made easier by the inlet and outlet ports with standardised G1/4" BSPP threads, which is an established standard across the entire PC water cooling industry. The entire surface is coated with a black polyurethane paint, which protects all metal parts of the radiator from oxidation and corrosion.

Copper Construction with an Optimised Thickness
The radiator core is made of copper, a material with high thermal conductivity. Heat from the coolant is thus quickly transferred to the radiator's structure. Densely packed fins, which increase the active surface area, are used for efficient heat transfer to the air. A polyurethane coating protects the entire surface. The thickness of the construction maintains sufficient coolant capacity and a large cooling surface, as the radiator does not require excessive space and fits into most standard computer cases with positions for two fans.
Safe Installation of Water Cooling Components
Integrated protective plates under the M4 screw mounting holes simplify fan installation. These plates act as a physical stop, actively preventing the mounting screws from being screwed in too deeply. This prevents puncturing the sensitive water channels or damaging the fins during assembly. This eliminates the risk of leaks and increases the reliability of the entire water loop during assembly. The inlet and outlet ports use standardised G1/4" BSPP threads. Connecting to a new or existing loop does not require any special adapters. This standardisation ensures seamless compatibility with fittings, adapters, and other components from various manufacturers.
