With the espresso machine's special, low-pressure infusion system, the pressure increases gradually to ensure that coffee extraction is kept even and flawless. Once the extraction is complete, the "Dry Puck" electronic valve removes excess water from the coffee that's packed inside the filter. The light indicator lets you know when the machine is due for a cleaning cycle and the useful pressure gauge will keep you informed on the best pressure for extracted coffee. You can program the amount of ground coffee for 1 and 2 cups or stick with the preset option.
With the machine's innovative grinder, you can choose from 18 different grind settings and make a customised espresso that suits your taste. This integrated, conical grinder with stainless steel grinding stones gives you exactly the amount of coffee you need and you have the choice of using either automatic or manual coffee dosing. Compared to the model ES 8012, this grinder is larger and more elevated so that the coffee beans are grinded directly in the filter. The grinder output is located on the left side, just below the steam pressure indicator.
In order to make the best espresso possible, you'll first need freshly ground and well-balanced coffee, along with the optimal pressure. However, one can't forget about the right water temperature as well because fluctuations during coffee extraction will result in a loss of froth, making the resulting coffee lose its unmistakable, beautiful colour in just a matter of seconds. To counter this, the Catler ES 8013 comes with a revolutionary electronic PID system that controls the temperature throughout the extraction process. It continuously monitors, records and stabilises the whole process. You can also adjust the water temperature by 1 or 2°C.
In addition to the device itself, you will also get single-wall and double-wall filters for 1 and 2 cups and a stainless steel jug for frothing milk. This allows you to make a fantastic, creamy cappuccino with a fluffy froth. What's more, you'll find a cleaning brush for easier maintenance and a removable tamper that can be easily stored inside the device. The coffee bean hopper holds up to 250 grams of fresh coffee beans and the dispenser holds up to 2 litres of water.
