This is the most basic and essential accessory for every photographer; original and alternative chargers are available.
- Alternative chargers are usually much cheaper, but they may not guarantee full compatibility with your battery and have the potential to damage it.
- Original chargers, designed for a specific type of camera battery, are more expensive but guarantee accurate battery charging.
AA Batteries
The cheapest solution is disposable alkaline batteries. Rechargeable batteries are not as cheap, but they can be recharged and reused several times. These batteries are used especially in compact digital cameras and external flashes, but also in many other electrical devices.

- Higher capacity means a longer life, but also longer charging times and a higher cost

This is the main source of power for each camera. You can choose from original batteries, which are divided according to the model and brand of camera, or non-original alternatives. These alternative batteries are generally cheaper, but they do not guarantee 100% compatibility. Sometimes they can offer a higher capacity.
